About this Coach and Frames Accessibility
This Coach uses frames to allow the user to read helpful content in one frame that coaches you in using another Web site which is displayed in a different frame. The Coach frame can direct which web page is currently being displayed in the primary frame.
Using a screen reader, you can access this Coach in one of two ways:
- Via frames: You can switch between the Coach and primary frames by following the directions for your particular screen reader. When you are ready to use the Coach, please use this accessibility link to display the Coach first. This will allow easier navigation through the Coach links and content while using a screen reader.
- JAWS: press Control and Tab to move between frames. You can press Insert and F9 to list frames.
- Home Page Reader: type the Control and Tab keys.
- VoiceOver: type Control, Option, Command and M. Be aware that any time you select a Take Me There link in the Coach, the site in the Primary Frame will change and you should be prepared to switch to that frame to interact with its content and then return to the Coach for further instructions.
- Directly as a stand-alone website: Any time you choose a Take Me There link to go to a specified page, the Coach will open a new window with that page in it (if a window has already been opened in this way, it will be re-used for this new link). This is less desirable as multiple windows is often harder to work with than frames. You will then need to switch between the two windows of the Coach and the content as needed.
Text-only browsers vary in their approach to frames but they generally provide a list of frames letting you choose the current one you wish to interact with at a given moment.
If you are simply using an older browser that does not support frames at all and are not in a position to upgrade to a more recent, free browser, then you can also use the Coach via option #2 above.
If you are using a screen reader, please use this accessibility link to display the Coach first. This will make it easier for you to navigate the Coach.
